Jeff Berryman
Jeff is a Distinguished University Professor, and Professor of Law in the Faculty of Law, University of Windsor, and an Honourary Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Auckland, NZ. Jeff is a recipient of the Law Society Medal (Law Society of Ontario) for distinguished service to the profession, former Dean of Law, Acting Provost, and founding chair of the Ontario Quality Council Appraisal Committee.
Jeff has experience leading in modernizing performance, tenure and promotion criteria, faculty hiring policies, negotiating collective agreements (both for employer and employee), all matters of student discipline including investigations, adjudications and policy reviews, undertaking faculty and academic program reviews and restructuring, and human rights, free expression and conflict of interest advice and policy development.

Bruce Elman
Bruce is Professor of Law Emeritus at the University of Windsor. Bruce served as Dean of Law at the University of Windsor from 2000–2011 – the longest term for any Dean at Windsor Law. As Dean, Bruce promoted ethics, professionalism, and competence as pre-eminent values of Windsor Law. In the fall of 2018, he was named a Builder of Windsor Law. This award recognizes “individuals who are not alumni but who have made a significant contribution to Windsor Law”. Between 2005 and 2020, Bruce served nine years as Chair of the University’s Procedures and Discrimination Committee. Before coming to Windsor, Bruce was the Belzberg Professor of Constitutional Law and Chair of the Centre for Constitutional Studies at the University of Alberta. He served as the Associate Dean of the Faculty at Alberta from 1991–1994.
Bruce is a celebrated teacher and effective communicator. He received a teaching award from the Hebrew University in 1996 and was the recipient of the Tevie H. Miller Award for Teaching Excellence at the University of Alberta in 1999. In 2019, Professor Elman received a Teaching Excellence Award from the Students’ Law Society at the University of Windsor.
Bruce is a member of the Law Societies of Ontario and Alberta (inactive). Bruce served two terms (2012–2018) as Chair of the Board of Governors of the Law Commission of Ontario. In June 2018, the Law Society of Ontario bestowed an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) on him in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the legal profession, the rule of law, and the cause of justice.
Bruce serves as the Integrity Commissioner for the City of Windsor as well as the Town of Amherstburg and the Municipality of Lakeshore. Bruce has wide-ranging experience in complaint investigation and resolution. He has specialized knowledge and extensive practical experience in the design and development of accountability systems and protocols. He has also created and delivered numerous educational and training programs on accountability regimes.
